| Mick
Moloney (now "Five-Hour Mick" ... no longer "Four-Minute Mick) has been
invited to join the Caboolture Gliding Club Committee to take up the newly created
position of Member Development Officer (MDO). |
| The
Committee had identified a very real need for more focus in the areas of (a) orientation
of new members and their progression to solo as well as (b) their further progression from
post-solo to cross-country and the newly introduced Glider Pilot Certificate.
|
Mick is considered to be the man for the job and has already shown
his keenness to get his teeth into the new role. |
Mick's
new role will also cover the duties that had been previously carried out by the Chief Duty
Pilot (a role that had been filled so well by John Sharman prior to his death earlier this
year). |
Mick
will have plenty on his plate and it would be fairly safe to assume that he would
appreciate any assistance/support that can be offered from other CGC members. Please don't
be shy about having a chat Mick about the new role and how you might be able to assist
him! |
|
PS:
The "Four-Minute Mick" title had been hanging heavily around Mick's neck since
he fell an agonisingly four minutes short of completing a five-hour flight during
"Caboolture Week at DDSC" last year. He however made sure of it this year!
