Airborne Magazine Dec'79

Steve Chapman recently pulled out an old copy of AIRBORNE MAGAZINE and was quite surprised to find a photo of fellow CGC member Bernard "Speedy" Gonsalves in it. Speedy was obviously still living at home with mum at the time ... check out the ironed creases in the trousers. 

It was the December 1979 issue of AIRBORNE MAGAZINE ... so why had Steve kept that particular issue of the magazine handy for the last 30 years?

Way back then Speedy lived in Queensland and Steve in Victoria ... neither would have dreamt that Steve would be piloting the Pawnee towing Speedy up in his K6 at Caboolture Airfield 30 years later.
