Random Testing Stars April 2009

CASA has releasd a brochure providing details of the random "alcohol and drug in aviation" testing that commenced in April 2009.
 

Testing can occur in any location where aviation activities occur (including regional, rural and remote airstrips, flying schools, and maintenance orghanisations).
 
The random test will be for alcohol, amphetamines (speed, ice and ecstacy), cannabis, cocaine and opiates (heroin, morphines and codeine).
  
Flying instructors as well as private and student pilots are among the individuals who may be requested to take the random tests.
