While the YCAB waterfowl population is flourishing, the Friday crew are still struggling to get a decent day’s flying. At least today’s only flight was a full one minute longer than the last flying Friday’s (19 minutes versus 18). And it made quite an impression ...

Remember how Friday’s report showed RWY 06 grass left to be a little spongy? Saturday’s rain didn’t make it any better:
   

 
Fortunately today’s wind favoured 30/12, where the ground around a new chain of lakes was firm enough to encourage aviation other than the feathered variety.
   

  
And as for me, I’m just grateful that the tow rope held and I’m not still out there on RWY06 grass left!
