Lake Caboolture ...

03-Sep-10

A recent article on this web site was titled ... "Nice weather for ..."

We now know the answer ... kangaroos!

This photo (taken by Kevin Rodda on his mobile phone on Saturday afternoon 02-Oct-10) confirmed Peter Stephenson had made the correct call earlier that day to cancel Sunday's gliding operations at Caboolture.

No-fly days on Saturday and Sunday capped off a week where (a) YCAB appeared to cop the brunt of any wet weather that ventured into the south-east corner of Queensland (the Sunshine Sate?) and (b) Caboolture featured on TV weather reports as having the highest rainfall in Queensland.

After viewing similar (but more professional) photos from Lindsay Mitchell later that day, Kevin Roden commented ... "Wow, closest we had to that here on sunshine coast was a dark cloud. Mostly sunshine all day!"
