Astireopteryx:

Astireopteryx
is the largest member of the Astirsaurier family.
|
|
Existence
late Holocene it is a descendent of the Pterosaurs.
|
|
Its natural habitat lay predominantly in the
lower atmosphere.
|
|
Astireopteryx was most likely a thermal predator
living primarily on hot air.
|
|
It usually travelled medium
distances a day, normally to return on its nesting grounds
after several hours.
|
|
Astireopteryx is believed to have been capable
of speeds in excess of 150 mph (240 kph).
|
|

|
- Jeanopteryx
|
|
- Clubopteryx
|
|
Although
more species may have existed.
|
|
Later
evolution saw much lighter bone structure when
Acruseopteryx emerged.
