On another note ...
Hi
all,
Saturday's
flying started very slowly indeed. 10am saw the duty crew sitting
in the shade between pie cart and shipping container wondering if the
scheduled AEF was all we were going to accomplish today. At that
time, however, soon-to-be-member Michael
Burnett arrived
and asked us about the requirements for joining our sport and club.
Senior salesman Higgs began discussing requirements, options and
'career paths' while I retrieved printed information and paperwork; we
had a new member before even beginning the day's Daily Inspections.
Welcome
to the fold Michael

On another note... A few photos from today
Yep, it was a late
start today – after all we had to make sure the duty pilot had his
breakfast first.
Just out of shot in
the photo of Michael Burnett and Karl Bodi is
Michael’s rather muddy leg. You have seen those videos where
someone gets bogged and helpful bystanders lean in with a push, only
to lose their balance when the vehicle suddenly gets traction and
moves forward. Welcome to the diverse world of gliding - Speedy
appreciated the help.
