A sweaty crew consisting of yours truly as AEI (minus any passengers), Mick Moloney providing instructor guidance, Alan Graham as DP and Mike Grady dragging us into air.

We launched one flight from 30 before the wind picked up significantly (15kts+) which necessitated a shift to 06.

The biggest milestone today was the addition of a new member …Danny Gadza who coincidently was one of my Air Experience passengers approx. 12 months ago… so I’m really pleased I didn’t scare him off!.

Attached pic of Mick in the IS28 with Danny in front ... AND another pic of the rear cockpit of the IS28 just before they took off for Danny’s inaugural training flight (and longest flight of the day)…. So a BIG welcome to Danny who had two flights.

Second welcome "punter" was Jacob Mason (also pictured) who came along to brush up on some skills with Mick prior to an exam with the air force next month … best of luck Jacob.

For those of you living near the coast and/or near Brisbane, I’ve taken a shot (during my flight) of the source of the smoke haze that enveloped everyone this afternoon ...

My one off and only Libelle flight today was a measly 21 mins largely due to a 1,500ft inversion.

By 2pm we’d collectively had enough of the heat ... a mutual flight in CQC by Alan and Mick finished the day off as we homed in on the fridge in Kevin’s hangar.

Regards,
