Booming!

Absolutely booming from 9.00am onwards.

Duty Crew consisting of Peter Stephenson as our L2, Mick Moloney L1, Karl Bodi as Tuggy and myself as DP.

Lindsay Mitchell was supposed to be our AEI, but he went flying instead.

We were at 06 in reasonably speedy fashion by about 9.30am which promptly changed to 30 because the powered guys where hell bent on staying there. Then back to 06 when we all changed their minds.

Quick check flights for Allan Graham and Alex Horvath, then Speedy took his mate Danny Vanderwalle of for a 1hr 45min flight in GQA.

Lindsay turned up on the flight line soon after with GJY and had his solo air experience lasting 3 hr 40mins. Whilst he was gone we trained his dog to be an instructor (sure there is a photo getting around somewhere detailing that) ...

What are the coolest pooches wearing on the airfield this summer?

Meanwhile we attended to our students David Crocker, who clocked up 3 flight under the careful eye of Peter Stephenson.

We also had a walk in who turned out to be a lovely Scottish gent, Rupert Perry who went for an unscheduled AE flight with Mick Maloney and looks like he will bring his past experience with gliding and powered flight into the club, as a new member.

But the student of note today, was Allan Graham who, after completing the last 3 of his required solo's and submitting himself to Mick Moloney's theory exam, has attained both his A and B certificates.

Well done Allan!

12 flights in all

CQC 3 hrs 16mins

GJY 3 hrs 40mins

GQA 1 hr 45mins

Reports of 6-8 knt lift abounded throughout the day

Like I say, booming
