Hi
all,
As
the photo taken at 9:30am shows, we had a blue
sky and that was basically how the rest of the
day progressed. Some small bumps but the
intermittent 2 kts lift we did find was not wide
spread enough to result in long flights with the
longest recorded one being 35 minutes (from
4,500ft)… one a positive note, great smooth
conditions and perfect for training and
passengers.
On
the flight line operating from RW12 was Blanik
GYK plus the IS28..
We
had a relatively leisurely start to the day and
I think I was the first on the field at 8am.
Alan Graham and then Peter John turned up
very shortly thereafter.
The
crew for the day was myself (AEI), Peter John
and Mick Moloney sharing instructing duties,
Mark Thompson was pulling is into the air for
most of the day whilst Alan Graham was kept busy
as the Duty Pilot with all the passenger
flights.
First
flight was in the air by 11am with Mick taking
to the air with Johnathon Manifold who is
getting close to solo … Mick and
Jonathan had 3 flights together but didn’t
quite nail the solo readiness ... keep at it
Jonathan.
Karl
Bodi and David Higgs dropped by but didn’t do
any flying … I think Karl just came to field
pick my brains about a problem with his laptop
… always happy to help Karl J
I
had 3 AEF'ss today all of which were to
4,500 as well as taking my UK based Niece for a
short (25 minutes) flight.

Bernard
Gonsalves, Mick Moloney, David Higgs, Peter
John, Mike McCluskey and Karl Bodi.
All
up, 8 flights today.
We
packed up shortly after 3pm when everyone had
had enough and retired to Kevin’s hanger for a
much needed cool drink and chat amongst friends.
