Hi
all.
It's
been a while since I wrote one of these reports.
To
start with, I arrived at the field early today (just
after 7am) and decided that I would just start
getting things ready rather than wait for others to
show up. We had 2 passengers booked, 2 Member
Instructor Requests, and brilliant fine weather.
The first thing I discovered on the first load
to the van was one of our handheld radios, which
served well to remind me to double check everything
when we wrapped up this afternoon.
Flying
was delayed a little when our tug got held up in
Boonah, but we were underway by 11am. Duty
Instructor Dave Donald led the charge with Theo Mus
in GYK, Mike McCluskey was kept busy with air
experience passengers when a third walk-in joined
the two who'd booked and co-duty pilot Tim Williams
did a sterling job with launches. Bob
Hainsworth also joined us along with Lindsay
Mitchell, Kevin Rodda and Speedy.
Mike
McCluskey scored flight of the day with first
passenger Danny Gadza, an ex powered flying student,
who decided to join up after a 45 min flight.
Final
scores were:
GYK:
4 launches, 60 mins
CQC:
5 launches, 2 hrs 38 mins
GQA:
2 launches, 58 mins
Thanks
definitely go to the duty crew for their efforts
today, jobs well done, but special thanks to Bob
Hainsworth who worked tirelessly all day with
retrieves and passenger transport among other
things.
