Well the weather Gods shined on us today.

After some pretty dubious wind conditions the previous day, we arrived at the field to find bright sunshine, blue sky and a light breeze.

Crew in attendance was Kevin Roden as our L2, Peter John L1, Tony Esler, Tuggie, Karl Bodi, AEI and myself as duty pilot.

With the DI's out of the way, we made our way up to the runway 30 'swamp' and set up operations for the day.

We had a mix of student and post solo members in attendance.

Kevin spent the bulk of his morning training with Theo Mus, with their second flight coming in right on the 60 minute mark as the skies continued to improve, eventually providing abundant lift

Peter John spent some quality time with Rupert Perry, assisting him with "Australianizing" his British gliding qualifications.

Karl Bodi flew his AEF passenger, Jason Little out to the 4500 step for a flight time of 41 minutes.

All the while we had a very busy airfield, with GA traffic everywhere as they took advantage of a break in the weather. Our big yellow buddy, the AN-2 showed us very well why we set up the safety sign in front of the pie cart.

Tim Williams eventually got away after a lengthy delay while we sorted out an ant infestation in the Total Energy probe of CQC, recording a flight time of 48 mins (see Tim's photo from the cockpit, below)

But the flight of the day belonged to Kevin Roden and David Crocker who, on the last flight of the day recorded a healthy 1hr and 5 mins in GYK.

Statistics were:

CQC - 4 flights 1hr 41mins

GYK - 4 flights 2hrs 54mins
