Saturday
turned out to be a great day’s flying for all. On
arrival I was greeted by the crew consisting of David
Higgs (duty instructor), Mick Moloney (L1 instructor)
and DP2 Tash South. Unfortunately Tash had to leave soon
after for personal reasons, thanks for arriving bright
and early in the first place Tash! Steve Chapman was our
Pawnee Captain and Karl Bodi was our AEI/Pawnee
relieving pilot.
Our first
flight of the day was Karl Bodi with AEF passenger
Kimberley Nean, who couldn’t wipe the smile off her
face and insisted she’ll be back in 2 weeks for
more!
Chris Guy took
to the skies in the Club Libelle, David Higgs continued
Dave Crocker's training in the Blanik and Alex Horvath
had a check flight/soaring flight with Mick Moloney in
the IS-30.
After lunch,
Chris took the Libelle for his second flight, which so
happened to be the flight of the day at 1 hour and 40
mins. I organised myself a check flight in the Blanik
with Dave Higgs who decided the airbrakes had become
stuck, resulting in a modified circuit which is always
good fun.
Steve Chapman
took a break from the Pawnee and had a check flight in
the IS-30 with Dave Higgs resulting in a retrieval from
the dirt road/taxiway.
The final
flights for the day were a quick solo for myself and a
tie down run/training flight for Dave Crocker.
All in all a
great day’s flying, not to mention sharing the skies
with the Mustang and Antonov (both 1000 + HP
aircraft).
Thank you to
everyone who made the day possible.
