Another good day was had
Caboolture Gliding Club with 16
flights.
Duty Team of Garret Russell
(called in at the last minute - thanks
enormously), Lindsay Mitchell, Mike Grady
and yours truly.
While getting ready were
visited by Mick and David who were getting
the Libelle trailer hooked up for the trip
to Jondaryan for the Caboolture Week.
We saw them off and
surprise, surprise they were back 5 mins
later having back door problems on the
trailer. Twice the back door dropped
open threatening to release the Libelle onto
the highway. What a landing that would have
been!!!
Any way some quick repairs
later and the boys were Jondaryan bound
again . Success this time as we
recieved a text saying they had safely
arrived.
We readied GYK and CQC and
headed to 12 ( via 30 ) before
eventually ending up on 06 .
We had two AEF young ladies
who Lindsay gave a terrific time to .
Both were getting an early Xmas and each
left smiling .
Ged Terry came all the
way from his gliding club in England to have
an Aussie gliding experience. He had such a
good time, he will be back on Friday for
more.
Ashton Greive and David
Crocker continued their training in
the Blanik while Dan Kershaw and Alex
Horvath had check flights in CQC and then
tried some solo flying .
Speedy brought out some
friends and took them for rides in QA.
The new cars all worked well
today .
GYK had its 50 hour
check by Lindsay – thanks.
And as requested by Bob ,
the power to the trolley has been turned
off.
By 5.30 the gliders were all
packed up and the crew were enjoying a cold
drink.
All in all a great day on
the field
