Hi all,

Saturday started brilliantly clear and rather calm, however, the wind soon arrived in force and by the time our aircraft were ready the days operations were clearly going to be carried out on runway 24.

I believe 2 passengers were expected for the day but a third "walk in" joined us providing plenty of work for Duty AEI Neil Muspratt.  The day's flying started with a check flight for Duty Instructor, Mark Thompson, with Duty L2, Garrett Russell.  I secured a check flight with Garrett in CQC shortly after whereby I was granted solo status for the rest of the day and Florian Poff made good use of GYK with Mark Thompson for some training flights.

Wave lift was encountered by all who flew but remaining in it proved more difficult.  Neil Muspratt scored flight of the day in CQC with 55 mins, followed by Rupert Perry and Garrett Russell in GYK at 42 mins.

All launches most competently carried out by tuggie Steve Chapman and the days activities including extra passenger flight ably directed by DP Alan Graham.  Unfortunately there was no sign of our second DP Dave Crocker.

All up, 12 launches split evenly between both gliders with GYK scoring 1 hour 56 mins and CQC totalling 2 hours 50 mins and a most enjoyable, sunny, day's flying.
