Hi All,

Saturday was one of those perfect winter’s days at Caboolture.

We had the duty crew of yours truly as L2, Rod Wilson as Duty Pilot and Steve Bowtell as our Tug Pilot for the day.

Neil Muspratt was rostered as AEI but called in sick. Hope you are feeling better Neil.

The one and only member for the day was Tyler Morrison, continuing his training.

And continue he did with four flights progressing him to incipient spins.

Good work Tyler.

Tyler Morrison at "control central" in the new pie-cart and that's Paul (Tyler's Dad) in the background. We often overlook the efforts of the parents of our young trainees in supporting and facilitating their training!

Rod Wilson mentioned he was in need an annual check. So we took care of that which he passed with flying colours.

Good work Rod, right down to the “JC” finish when those air brakes just “Popped: on downwind.

Also at the field were Lindsay Mitchell and Kevin Rodda, who are working their way through their L1 instructor training.

Keep at it fellas and we look forward to seeing you as back seat jockeys passing on your experience to our members.

Stats for the day:

5 flights in GYK for 1hr 43mins.

Once again, aircraft and thermals went begging.

Guys, this is arguably the best time of year to fly at Caboolture.

The weather is perfect, so get into it.

Safe Flying,

Mick Moloney
