The
day started off slowly as we only had one AEF
flight for the day.
Duty
crew for the day were David Higgs (Duty Instructor),
Dan Kershaw (Tug Pilot), Lindsay Mitchell (Air
Experience Instructor) and myself as Duty Pilot.
We had a visit from an airline pilot, Brent (can't
remember his surname). He is keen to start back flying
gliders as he did when he was young but declined to
fly with Lindsay today, maybe some other time.
Bert
Persson and Steve Bowtell also turned up at the
flight line to have a chat for a short time.
The
wind today was quite strong, towed IKW down to 12 and
waited for our AEF passenger Robert Phelan to
turn up.
It
was the only flight for the day. and after
he was settled in the glider he was off for a 58
minute flight with Lindsay.
After
his return to earth Robert was out of the flying
machine a very happy chappy.
