For a day that started with many of the crew
driving to the airfield through morning rain, we
could have flown until sunset on Saturday 14
February. Instead we chose to leave by about
five to enjoy the evening with our various
Valentines. But look at what we left behind:
The afternoon and very late morning flight
times confirm how well the day turned out:
Jo Wooler and Garrett Russell 20 minutes on a
low release tie down flight in GYK (landing
almost at 16:00)
John Nestor 34 minutes in GJY from a 13:00
launch
Alan Graham 40 minutes with Garrett Russell on
his first ever flight in IKW from a launch
close to 14:00
Kevin Rodda 46 minutes with AEF guest Rob
Field in IKW from a launch close to midday
These are just the post-seabreeze highlights
from a total of 11 flights which also included
Kevin introducing power pilot and potential
new member Toby Fitzgerald to soaring flight
and two flights with ABC reporter AnneMarie
White which will put CGC on 612 Radio next
Friday.
Thanks to the small and friendly crew who made
our guests feel so welcome, and who all got
their just rewards with some nice Caboolture
flights - including Karl Bodi in the tug for
all 11 launches.
So where are you going to be tomorrow
afternoon?
