Up till last night, Caboolture Gliding Club had
Friday flying called off five times in 2015
(yep, just a month and a half into the year)
with the last three Fridays in a row cancelled
due to wind or water or both. So why would we
expect Friday the 13th to be any different?
No surprises for guessing that there was no
flying again today. But by the fourth week in
a row the Friday crew were beginning to learn,
and turned today into one we could go home
from with a sense of getting something done.
Lindsay Mitchell led Barry and Lynette
McCarthy, Tony Sorensen, John Knox, Ken
Mitchell, John Nestor, Judith Smith and
Garrett Russell in a steaming team effort to
unrig the IS-28 and store it in the container
space very recently vacated by the IS-30.
Very recently means about half an hour
earlier, when we wheeled the 30 fuselage up to
the CAC hangar in readiness for some TLC.
Speedy Gonsalves is getting his after hours
paint gun primed for action!
So watch out for the 30 coming back to the
flight line soon. And anyone feeling the need
to visit CQC one last time will find her
resting under covers in her new home:
