A busy Friday

Let
me start by saying that when I went to copy the
flight sheet the printer would not work, the display
said no ink. This is therefore done from notes,
Garrett is forwarding a photo of the sheet to Kevin.
Present
were Peter John, Garrett Russell as Duty Instructor,
John Knox as tuggie, Tony Sorensen, Barry McCarthy
nursing a cold, John Nestor, Arthur Mailey, Mus
Latham, new member Charlie Groves, John Nestor,
Arthur's friend Ray Griffiths, Mike Grady, Robert De
Jarlias, Karl Bodi, and yours truly, all in no
particular order.
CQC,
GYK and GJY were disrobed and DI'd, and towed out to
12, the old pie cart was used and the gazebo for
shade.
The
new Barina would not start, something is wrong in
the electrics, it probably won't be available
tomorrow, best not to use it.
John
Knox and Mike Grady did the morning launches, Karl
Bodi arrived around mid day to take over.
16
flights were achieved, a mixture of training, checks
and solos and family friends.
Arthur
did 2 flights in the Libelle, 43 and 56 minutes, the
two longest flights of the day.
The
stats:
CQC
2.44 in 7 flights
GYK
2.29 in 7 flights
GJY
1.37 in 2 flights.
Mus
Latham is leaving us to return home to WA, he very
kindly filled the fridge this morning so that after
flying we could all enjoy a beverage. A gesture of
thanks for the friendship extended to him during his
stay in Brisbane by the club and its members.
Obviously he is welcome to return at any time, and
he expects to in the future.
