Saturday was about half as big as Friday in both numbers of flights (7 against 15) and participating pilots (6 against 13). The gliders were also less busy: CQC 0:56 and GYK exactly 1:00.

Steve Bowtell and Karl Bodi again shared tug duties.

Rod Wilson had two very happy AEF passengers and the longest flights at 23 and 33 minutes.

Duty pilot Rupert Perry proved he could land the Blanik in a rather small paddock if he really had to.

And Florian Poff easily scored the most number of member launches, adding four flights to his training card. And that's not counting his flight from outside the cockpit while waiting for a retrieve.

The reason for the long wait is worth reporting because that flight contained valuable training elements which were not part of the flight plan. Heading into the circuit, Florian had to deal with four parachutes crowding the airspace from a low level jump, then at more or less the same time another glider joining circuit. He negotiated both bits of traffic without too much stress and landed long on 06 grass left to give Rod plenty of room to safely bring his passenger home. The passenger was duly impressed!
