The day started with duty crew Tony
Sorensen DI, Tug Pilot Knoxy and the usual Friday
flyers, L2 Barry Mc, Arthur Mailey, Charles Hoch
and Judith Smith all huddled in the hangar with
the door closed.
Karl Bodi also attended in case of
need and advised that it was reported blowing 30
kts at 2,000ft. The wind socks certainly bore this
out.
In response to the question “does
anyone want to fly”? there was a
resounding NO by
all and sundry. The briefing therefore consisted
of “pack up, lock up and go home, or
wherever”.
