Ploughed field clouds

 For those who may have missed it, there was a very interesting skyscape in Brisbane today ... 
             

"Ploughed field clouds" - view to the east at around 11:00 am.

 This type of altocumulus cloud formation is known as a "Mackeral Sky" or ""Buttermilk Sky".

The same view (to the east) around 2.00 pm!

    

The same view again (to the east) at around 5.30 pm.

 

The view to the west at same time ... around 5.30 pm.
