Hi
again everyone.
|
|
|
|
Today's
flying actually got underway just as I arrived at
Caboolture; I had been hoping to catch Lindsay at some
maintenance work, but came prepared to fly on the off chance
I could fit into the schedule (having not made use of the
instructor request notification system).

A
reasonably stiff, cool breeze saw attendant instructors
David Higgs and John Clayton taking shelter in the pie cart
while Chris Weir took friend Anne Johnson for the day's
first flight. That was followed by Mick Moloney with
(I believe) the day's AEF (AEP?) Geoff Moran, flight of the
day at 23 minutes. Four more flights were tallied, David
Higgs clearing another item off my post-solo checklist,
Chris and Anne again, a solo for myself and a final flight
for Chris Weir with Karl Bodi.

The
continued unavailability of CQC's original tail dolly saw us
trialling a new style of dolly, able to handle almost any
terrain and fitted with smart, self-steering capabilities.
Photo evidence of today's successful trial of this new
equipment may or may not actually be forthcoming...

Departure,
around 1500 saw the first spits of rain falling on today's
intrepid, makeshift, duty crew. Totals were: 6
launches, 1 hour 53 minutes.

Hope
everyone has a good week and that next weekend's instructors
get a little more business!

|
Cheers,
