G’day
all and apologies for the late report.
Sunday
started out looking rather suboptimal. Duty
crew on hand consisted of Mick Moloney as L2 with
Instructor Neil Schaefer on hand, Tug Pilot Tor
McCall, AEI Chris Weir and myself as Duty Pilot.
We
had one enthusiastic passenger booked and both Mick
and Chris were expecting Member Friends to fly, but
the unpromising skies drew little excitement from
anyone else.
By
the time we had CQC undressed and ready, the sun had
broken through the high level murk and the day was
actually looking better, however, Chris Weir had
already contacted his friend to postpone their
flight.
We
finished preparations and made our way to runway 12.
By
the time we had the shade set up our passenger
George Edgar had arrived. He launched with
Chris Weir at 1050 and obtained 28 minutes from
4500’.
Mick
Moloney was next, flying with Member Friend Lisa
Gates in more inviting skies but returning just in
front of a rain shower after 24 minutes.
Prior
to the rain squall, with improving skies, Chris had
departed to prepare Club Libelle GJY but the rain
and return of almost full cloud coverage spoilt any
chance of obtaining a decent flight and we decided
to pack up at about 1300.
Chris
performed a hangar flight in GJY and I returned CQC
making it a 4 flight day.
Atmosphere
at the “Pie Shelter” really made the day so
thanks to all for your attendance.
CQC
= 3 for 1:14
GJY
= 1 for 0:14
