Apologies
for the late report, the result of limited email
access.
Only a
small but intrepid band, largely committee
members, headed for RWY 12 in what turned out to
be fluctuating conditions.
Steve Bowtell
and later John Ashford shared the tuggie duties.
However some important preparatory work
was done for Watts Bridge this weekend in the
form of dual towing practice.
First flight
of the day comprised Mick Moloney in GJY along
with David Higgs (and yours truly as ballast) in
CQC.
On our return, Kevin Rodda took our
first AEF of the day, Andy Denniss on a 35
minute jaunt, after which Bert Persson and Tony
Sorrensen in GYK and Lindsay Mitchell and David
in the 28 headed off for the second dual towing
experience of the day.
Tony and Bert
achieved the best flight of the day at 48
minutes - who would have thought?
We were
then joined by our second AEF Samanatha
("call me Sam") who enjoyed her first
flight with Kevin so much that she lined up for
seconds.
In the meantime Mick and David
shared a mutual flight in the Blanik, and Karl
Bodi rounded out the day with a 10 minute hangar
flight in the Libelle.
