Saturday 4/8 at YCAB

There
were clear blue skies at Caboolture today as the Saturday
duty team prepared a single, lonely CQC for flying.
However even though the thermals weren't popping, her
flight time was put to good use as we welcomed new member
Andrew Cowley to the club. John Ashford (L2) flew
four training flights with Andrew throughout the course of
the day, officially launching his gliding career.
It was a day of high releases today, as Tuggie Steve
Chapman courteously towed the majority of our flights
right up to 3500ft. Neil Muspratt (AEI) flew our
first AEF customer for the day at 11am, and shortly
after took a friend for a flight while earning himself
flight of the day at 27 minutes. Karl Bodi then
offered to take AEF number two after lunch before
wrapping up a quiet day early at 3pm.
Stats for the day:
CQC
7 flights
2 hrs 19 mins
Hopefully Sunday will present some longer flights,
though thermals or not the conditions at the moment are
making for great training flights!
See you at the field
