Sorry to say, given a choice between your chances or that pigs can fly, my money would have to be on the pigs!

Well Saturday was a beautiful drying day and Sunday turned out to be sunny too. It was a bit damp in places underfoot so we DI'd the Twin. Alan Graham kindly assumed Duty Pilot duties because the rostered one sadly did not appear, and John Ashford was tuggie.

Garrett Russell brought an American Steve Demvinski from Wisconsin.  Amazingly, he only had been the Oshkosh Airshow once! 25 yrs ago he had undergone gliding instruction but had never soloed.  As there was no AEI  rostered, I took him up for a very pleasant AEF and he quickly got back into the groove and we had a 24 minute flight with weak lift in places.  The wind was favouring 30 but we landed on 24 as the predicted westerly had arrived.

Alan Graham allowed me then to take up my prospective member friend Richard Buzzacott and we could not find the lift and we were back down again in 17 minutes sadly.  Even after that short flight, he is seriously considering joining the Club! :-)

High stratus came over and Alan elected not to fly so we returned to the tie down area for a drink.

To round the day off, we did a rubbish run!

At least we flew!!!!
