I
arrived at the field shortly after 7-00a.m. and
founds Chris Weir busy working on the Libelle
Trailer (Chris was also our AEI for the day.)
By
7-45a.m. all our Rostered Duty Crew had
arrived....Barry Mc (L2), Mark Thompson (L1),
Chris Weir (AEI), Tony Sorenson (Tuggie) and
Rupert Perry (Duty Pilot)......Weather conditions
were perfect with good cums everywhere BUT no
Members or Students wanting to fly.
SO
We
decided the Duty Crew would get out the IS28B2 and
the Club Libelle and do a bit of flying among
ourselves .....THEN.....Karl Bodi and Bernard
Gonzales arrived.....AND THEN......a phone call
from Garrett to inform us that we had a AEI
Passenger arriving at 11-00a.m.
President
Lindsay Mitchell called in on his way North for a
chat and I heard Treasurer Kevin Rodda was also on
the field for a while.
With
conditions cycling all day what flights we did
manage varied but all present did have a great day
including our AEI Passenger Glen Noble who with
Chris Weir managed the flight of the day at 44
minutes.....”Speedy” invited yours truly to
act as ballast in the Kookaburra and we enjoyed a
flight of 35 minutes scratching around some
“little cums”.....what a great Glider.
For
those interested the statistics for the day were:-
CQC
4 flights
2.08 Mins
GJY
2 flights
31 “
GLM
1 flight
35 “
.............
...............
7 Flights
3.14 Mins
.............
. .
.............
With
few Members/Students turning-up to fly a good
flying day was missed...similar to Saturday SO all
I can say is please try and support “YOUR
CLUB” or it might disappear.

Behalf of the Duty Crew,
