Good call Scrubby!

The following pics (taken at around 11.00 am heading north) attest to the wisdom of John Ashford's email early this morning re abandoning today's operations ...

A little levity in email subject headings is about the only silver lining in this weekend’s clouds.

Kevin Rodda (who suggested the heading) will soon follow up with photographic evidence that, even if it were to stop raining right now, the airfield is too full of water to allow safe flying tomorrow.

Sunday gliding operations are cancelled.

Better luck next week!

The following pics (taken at around 6.00 pm heading back to the south) provide the photographic evidence that Garrett refers to above ...

Runway 12 (don't mistake the running stream above the pond for the taxiway - the taxiway actually starts 200m further down the runway!)

Runway 06 (the pole at left is the yellow wind sock at the western boundary)

Aero Club car park and tie-down area (groundwater in car park and there was water across the bitumen back down Aerodrome Road)
