Tug pilots a plenty and multi skilling was
the order of the day. |
| Four flights for the day for a total of 1
hour 28 minutes in hot and very windy
conditions. |
| Tony Esler, Mark Thompson, Tony Sorensen
and me (Tug Pilots) ... Mark, Tony S and me
(Instructors). |
| Bernard "Speedy" Gonsalves, Bert
Persson and Lindsay Mitchell graced us with
their company long enough for Speedy and
Bert to repair the tail wheel on the IS-30
before they were all seen heading off to the
Caboolture Aero Club AGM and the promise of
a free feed. |
| Ashton Greives and his Dad (Jason) as
well as Alex Horvath made up the crew for
the day. |
| We all headed off to 30 for the first
couple of flights before the strong NNE wind
moved us to 06 for the rest of the day. |
| Longest flight of the day 51 minutes, was
a training flight for Ashton with me.
Ash achieved his first thermal flight with a
1400’ height gain on only his 5th flight.
Great thermaling Ash! |
| Alex did a quick check flight with Mark
to ease himself safely back into the groove
after a bit of an absence. Great
positive and safe attitude Alex – WELL
DONE. |
| Tony S relieved me as Duty Instructor for a
while so that I could attend the CAC AGM as
a member ... and on CASA business, to give a
quick talk to the members on the new pilot
rules and the Drivers Licence Medical
(Aviation). |
