Tug pilots a plenty and multi skilling was the order of the day.
Four flights for the day for a total of 1 hour 28 minutes in hot and very windy conditions.
Tony Esler, Mark Thompson, Tony Sorensen and me (Tug Pilots) ... Mark, Tony S and me (Instructors).
Bernard "Speedy" Gonsalves, Bert Persson and Lindsay Mitchell graced us with their company long enough for Speedy and Bert to repair the tail wheel on the IS-30 before they were all seen heading off to the Caboolture Aero Club AGM and the promise of a free feed.
Ashton Greives and his Dad (Jason) as well as Alex Horvath made up the crew for the day.
We all headed off to 30 for the first couple of flights before the strong NNE wind moved us to 06 for the rest of the day.
Longest flight of the day 51 minutes, was a training flight for Ashton with me.  Ash achieved his first thermal flight with a 1400’ height gain on only his 5th flight.  Great thermaling Ash!
Alex did a quick check flight with Mark to ease himself safely back into the groove after a bit of an absence.  Great positive and safe attitude Alex – WELL DONE.
Tony S relieved me as Duty Instructor for a while so that I could attend the CAC AGM as a member ... and on CASA business, to give a quick talk to the members on the new pilot rules and the Drivers Licence Medical (Aviation).

All packed away by 1500 on a very hot and windy day.
