It was quiet on Saturday at the airfield, but your intrepid crew braved the cold to bring you this report.
Well, really we turned up to fly, but here's a report anyway.

Core crew of Peter John, Karl Bodi, Steve Chapman and myself were joined by Alan Graham. One AEI booked.

A cold morning and a day that stayed cold in the shade. It didn't look very promising but with little wind and a bright winter sun, it didn't look too terrible either.

Alan Graham gave me a call during 1st breakfast to tell me he would be along and I managed to mumble through some McBacon that it would be a pleasure to see him.

With one AEI flight booked, it was decided to leave GYK chocked in position in case we had some punters later on, but that we should DI both CQC and GYK just in case.

A beautiful white retrieve Barina in CGC colours was our club house for the day.

The car works great, though it might not seem like it, reverse is there, you just have to believe in it. Read the instructions on the dash before using it.

Runway 24 looked like the go and Alan managed to swing a quick check flight with Peter just before our AEI Joseph Barrowcliffe turned up.

Karl managed to entertain Joseph for 57 minutes from a 3500 launch, which was an excellent result. This was Joseph's second go at an AEI flight.
Joseph turned up last week for a very short flight after a 4500 release, so he was very happy with the flight today.

Peter went up again with Alan for check flight part 2, and I took a flight with Peter as well.

Jacob and Tony Mason arrived for a hanger flight, and we had the gliders put away by 15:30.

5 flights in CQC, total time 2 hours 6 minutes.

Job done and everyone happy.

Pictures would have been nice but we were having too good a time to remember to take any.
