Bert Persson in Andy Heath's Super Arrow (YS) and Bernard "Speedy" Gonsalves in his Ka6-Cr (SR) shared the sky over Caboolture today. This pic of YS's debut at Caboolture was taken by Trevor Mills from his Sperber RF5 motor glider (HY).

A very interesting sky over Caboolture and no club members except for The duty crew and a couple of the vintage enthusiasts. Thanks for turning up guys.

At least we got two long flights in with one over 3 hours being the test flight of our newest addition to the wood scene. Bert reports that Andy's 'Super Arrow' flies very well. There was a big smile on Andy's face at the end of the day.

The clouds and flying conditions were very interesting. Both Bert and I spent the time flying , trying to work out exactly what was going on up there. We managed to stay up well enough but even Bert admitted that he was not sure what was making the strange 'Lace' patterns above us. There was also a lot of lenticular cloud around mainly before lunch time.

Very enjoyable and interesting flying. Thanks to Bob Turner and Trevor Mills who helped out but were not rostered on.

At least there were three wood gliders counting Trevor's motor glider, flying over Caboolture. Here is a pic taken from Trevor's RF5.

Cheers,

Speedy
