A
very interesting sky over Caboolture and no club members except for The duty crew and a
couple of the vintage enthusiasts. Thanks for turning up guys.
At
least we got two long flights in with one over 3 hours being the test flight of our newest
addition to the wood scene. Bert reports that Andy's 'Super Arrow' flies very well. There
was a big smile on Andy's face at the end of the day.
The
clouds and flying conditions were very interesting. Both Bert and I spent the time flying
, trying to work out exactly what was going on up there. We managed to stay up well enough
but even Bert admitted that he was not sure what was making the strange 'Lace' patterns
above us. There was also a lot of lenticular cloud around mainly before lunch time.
Very
enjoyable and interesting flying. Thanks to Bob Turner and Trevor Mills who helped out but
were not rostered on.
At
least there were three wood gliders counting Trevor's motor glider, flying over
Caboolture. Here is a pic taken from Trevor's RF5.
