The Queensland
Vintage Aeroplane Group's "Festival of Flight" is an annual fly-in event held at
the Watts Bridge Memorial Airfield and is regarded as the premier gathering of
vintage/warbird aeroplanes in Australia. The De Havilland DH 92 Moth Minor A21.42 that was
restored by Bert Persson at Sandora Aviation (and is now housed in the Warbirds Museum at
Caboolture Airfield) received the 2009 Grand Champion Award. Bert was all smiles when he
returned to YCAB on Sunday afternoon! |
