Mark Higgins - First Solo

In all there were 9 training/check flights, including some rather short ones as Mark Higgins kept on "breaking the rope" with Tony Sorensen sweating in the back seat! 
 
This was a prelude to the highlight of the day, namely first solo, in a glider that is, by Mark Higgins who later did an immaculate hangar flight from 30 to 06.
