Subject: Where the B....H.. were you on Saturday at Caboolture - all 7 flights
An addition to David's excellent report on the lack of Saturday flying.
The first pix is of the hive of activity [not happening] around the pie-cart when I landed after my 3hrs 20 flight
The second is of the sky to the West at the same time.   I had one run under a street well out into the step where I went about 15K without a turn at 75-80knots struggling to keep below 4,500.   While David, Speedie and I were out in the 4,500 step (and low hours pilots shouldn't go there till they gain experience) the day showed that long flights are very possible at Cab.  Yesterday would have been a great training day and gaining experience day for low hours pilots.
The third pix is of our new retrieve car but KRL2's wife wouldn't let it happen..  Thought it would be great, right colour, air conditioned, radio and we had the opportunity at the end of the day to drop a Blanik wing on it's hood to christen it but 'that didn't happen'.
Cheers
Lindsay

Our new retrieve car? Very suitable colour  ... however   Kevin Roden's wife wouldn't let it happen ... after all, it is her car! (photo provided by Lindsay Mitchell).
