Exit Hangar 105

02-Oct-11

The following photos from David Higgs provide some insight into the final day (after 17 years) of CGC's occupation of Hangar 105.

The Great Wall Of CGC comes down (from left: Garrett Russell, Eric Dickeson and James Hart).

Eric Dickerson appeared to be enjoying himself!

      And the walls comes down!

Finishing touches ... not much off the office left over! (from left: Karl Bodi, Garrett Russell and Eric Dickeson).

A well earned break at the end of another day at the airfield (from left: Tony Sorensen, Barry McCarthy and Mick Moloney).

A very bare Hangar 105 (the landlord has allowed Bert Persson a few days in the now unoccupied hangar to finish off the Annual Inspection work on the IS-30 VH-GQA).

The office is now in Hangar 22, the tug in Hangar 7, the gliders tied-down outside and lots of stuff stored in the containers (from left: Lindsay Mitchell, Mick Moloney and Barry McCarthy).

Part of the area that once was the "trailer park" now accommodates the caravan and the glider fleet (from left: Blanik VH-GYK, Club Libelle VH-GJY and IS-28 VH-CQC).

Lindsay Mitchell closes the door on the era that was Hangar 105
