Space control to Major Tom ... Kevin Roden at command central (up and at it early to check out the weather - very serious business hence the glasses).

David Hawes with his breakfast of champions ... David had the longest flight yesterday ... in one of the Puchacz's (1:55) followed by Kevin Rodda in the K6 (1:41) .

Tony Redsell in two minds ... disappointing day for glide pilots but looking forward to the chance of a "rest day" as Duty pilot.

The weather didn't look very good at all ... so one of the morning tasks was to clean up the bunkhouse and clubhouse.

With gliding at least delayed until later in the day due to strong winds, Mick Moloney took the opportunity to have his weekly shower ... no "green-frog-eating" brown snakes to contend with today. A green frog did however give Kevin Roden a nasty scare in the dunny last night!

Rigging Vince Everett's IS-29 (GWC)  ... Mark Thompson at the wing root with Vince assisted by Barry McCarthy at the wing tip .. it's not the easiest of gliders to rig and the wing tips get verrrrrrrrry heavy after 30-40 minutes!

And the wind kept coming in from the north-west ... note the wind-sock on the hangar roof! Visiting wineries etc became the favoured choice of activities for the day.

At around 15:00 thunderstorms rolled in from the south-west (only rained briefly however the hailstones came down very heavily for a couple of minutes).

The storm departed quickly towards Oakey ... we heard on the radio at time that there were significant hailstorms falling on the range to the east of Toowoomba.
