GENERAL INFORMATION

The competition is scheduled for Good Friday 10 April 2009 to 18 April. Practice day is Friday 10 April and the first competition day is Saturday 11 April.

Location

Dalby Airfield. From Brisbane travel to Toowoomba, then continue on the the Warrego Highway through the towns of Oakey and then on to Dalby.

Internet Access

Free wireless broadband access will be available in, and in the general vicinity of, the Competition Operations Room located in the SES Office building adjacent to the camping area.

Rules

The Competition Rules are enshrined in the long history of Gliding Queensland Easter comps folklore and are at the sole discretion of the contest director who takes advice from whoever and whenever he or she sees fit. However the Gliding Queensland Competition Rules provide a general underpinning where not inconsistent with the information provided on this web site, in the contestant information folder and at daily pilot briefings.

Classes

There will be two Classes - Sports and Club. Both will be handicapped.

Water ballast will not be permitted.

Maps

The Brisbane WAC will cover all task areas.

Waypoints and Start points

In accordance with a decision made at the Pilots' Meeting at the 2003 QSA Competition at Warwick, airfields or other known landable sites will be used as much as possible for turn points.

Presentation Dinner

The Presentation Dinner will be held at the Dalby RSL Club, 69 Drayton Street (Warrago Highway), Dalby on Saturday 18 April. 6.30 for 7pm.

Tickets will be available at registration and the price is $35.00 per adult. Children 12 and under under - $8.00.
